Hey all,
I've got an FZ21S Sony VAIO, and I've ben considering buying a new battery for it because the standard one doesn't provide enough power to last through my university lectures!
I've had a look on the Sony UK website (I'm from the UK), but unless I'm being completely blind, I can't seem to find any batteries for sale on there.
Would someone either be able to give me some advice on FZ-Series batteries that would last longer than the standard one, including what sort of price I'm likely to dig out for it; or point me to a site that may be able to help me further; or send me a link to a previous thread that contains some further help on FZ-Series batteries. (I'm not being lazy, I promise, the search box doesn't seem to be working on this forum!?)
Thanks a lot,
G

Have you considered this?

Should be able to supply power to your laptop for around 20 hours. -
That's amazing, but perhaps a bit out of my price range and unbelievably heavy! It costs double the laptop did. I'm only looking for something that supplys about 3 - 4 hours maybe.

You should be one of the bad boys and sit at the back row in your lecture. They gotta have power sockets back there. Possibly the easiest and cheapest solution.
I've got an FZ21S aswell and I don't think there's a better battery, which is unfortunate.
By the way - have you got RMClock or CPU-Z or anything that lets you monitor CPU frequency? I've got a problem too and was wondering if you could help me too. -
VGP-BPL8 is the model number of the large capacity battery for FZ (the standard one is VGP-BPS8). Sonystyle.com (US) sell BPL8 at $250 and BPS8 at $200. You can google and check whether any of them are available in UK.
