    FZ21S hibernation when closing lid

    my FZ21S has recently stopped hibernating when i close the lid.
    Any ideas how i can re-enable it???

    it's under the power settings in control panel

    Like the user above said: control panel > power options > "choose what closing the lid does" I personally set it to hibernate when I press the power button, I have a little towel thing on my palm rest to prevent fingerprints so the lid is never fully closed.

    cheers...its already on sleep...but what does that mean? because all it does is log me out

    you mean you want to select hibernation but you didn't see the option to select hibernate in "choose what closing the lid does"?

    I believe he means it's already set to sleep. You can select hibernate by clicking the drop down menu. It should be the second option. Sleep and hibernate are a bit different. When you hibernate the computer basically turns off and uses no power but saves the data thats on your RAM, and HD. When it sleeps it keeps the CPU, and HD running and it uses some power. Sleep always resumes faster then when you hibernate.

    it still isnt sleeping when i close the lid...hmmm
