FZ21Z - Problems

Hi Guys, I was browsing the forum trying to see if anyone else has had a problem with a FZ21Z laptop and I found a whole load of problems with the GPUs and sony are fixing them:

I am trying to diagnose whether my problem is linked.

Last week i was using it fine and then all of a sudden it just stopped working. When i rebooted the sony vaio screen at the start has green lines and other dotted lined running from top to bottom. It then went into start up repair from which at first i managed to get it to load but now will not load at all.

I have tried reinstalling the OS (W7) which worked for a while but then the same problem came back and now i cannot get it to start at all.

The error reportsays something like
startup repair offline

signature 01: 6.1.7600.16385

signature 04: "some more numbers"

signature 05: autofailover

signature 07: bad driver

os version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1

locale ID: 1033



Before all this it did get very hot.

Does this problem look like it may be the GPU and therefore would it be worth contacting sony. I bough the laptop in early 2008.
