    Hi

many of you seem to be gettin a sidebar issue with vista on this model I posted a thred a wile back on how to fix this fault.

On clicking the sidebar app windows says you need to be admin to run it.

Hears the fix...( hopefully easyer for you guys than my first explaination!)

what you need to do is uninstall google desktop in add and remove. then click the start menu and in the search bar type regedit you will see regedit on your menu do to click it!! insted RIGHT CLICK AND RUN AS ADMIN this is crucial for the fix to save to the registry.

Click on the folders in the left pane follwing this path

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Windows\sidebar

There should be a key in the right pane called turnoffsidebar double click it and change value data from 1 to 0.

    click ok then close regedit

sidebar should now show if not right click sidebar in start menu and click run as admin.

God know's why sony have added this pesky key maybe it was a fault thats been drive coppied to all FZ21 models but hopefully should work with FZ21s, FZ21m and fz21z....

Dont bother with sony on this they dont know of the fault more like they want you to use crapware google on your machine and limit what you do on you OWN laptop!
