For some bizarre reason, all of a sudden my laptop keyboard is not working properly.

Most of the buttons are working fine but some including the backspace button and enter button are not doing what they should be doing.

I'm typing this with an external keyboard which is working fine.

Does anyone know why this could be?

P.S. I don't know if it means anything but I recently had my motherboard replaced by Sony.

It sounds like the ribbon cable from the keyboard to the motherboard may not be seated correctly.
