Hi, im using the vista 169.04 Drivers and the latest gpuz to measure temps of the 8600mgs. Im using the latest rivatuner. i have the current clocks and temp whilst running Grid/ut3/flatout ultimate carnage/Gears of War:
    Core: 680
    Shader: 1360
    Mem: 860
    Temps between 69 and 74.

Now whats the max temp/clocks these cards can go to? I havent tried 3dmark 06 as i dont have it downloaded but ill probably get it to see if i beat 8600m gt scores.
Basically is this constant temp safe?
    Thanks

I would think that untill the true nature of the NVidia problem with the video chips is understood, that it really would not be a good idea to overclock these chips at all. It MIGHT be just asking for trouble.
