I'm searching the web for 3 days now and I can't find solution... Maybe I can find some help from you.

I'm busy with a clean install of my new FZ31Z with Vista Home premium. Windows has been installed perfect but in device manger I keep getting a yellow sign at "Network Controller" under "Other devices". I assume this network controller is my wireless lan adapter. Now I want to to install the drivers for it, to get things working, but here starts the trouble:
In the original windows/drivers dir there was a Atheros wireless lan driver and from the vaio support site I downloaded an updated Atheros driver. I tried to install both but Vista report errors saying that it's not sure this are the right drivers for the "Network Controller" and can't activate the adapter. Then I found out that I probably do need drivers from Intel. Because I copied the original Vaio recovery directory I can recover drivers and programs from the hidden recovery partition. I installed some drivers on this way. Indeed there is a driver from Intel in the recovery list (programs tab) but alas after 50% copying I get an error message: "Error 505:41". Only canceling the install is possible and the recovery tool close with the message "Task failed with error:-1".
I still don't know what drivers I need (Atheros or Intel) and Vista gives no info about hardware type or version or any id of the "network controller". So I downloaded a tool from Intel website to verify what Wireless LAN adapter I have. But alas again this tool does not find anything :-(
Finally I still don't know what drivers I need and: Vista says the Atheros drivers are not OK and the Intel drivers are not installable from recovery. Maybe I need to install some native Sony drivers/software first, but I don't know what that could be.
I will appreciate any help how to solve this problem

After 3 days searching and trying I wrote above message asking for help.
5 minutes after publishing my questions, I solved the problem myself :)
I discovered that I also could recover drivers and software from my recovery DVD I created (so not only complete system recovery). And this did the trick. And indeed these Atheros drivers are not the right ones. I donot understand why these drivers are presented by Sony Support as "the" wireless lan drivers.
Anyway I'm a bit more lucky and finaly I can go on with next driver and software install.
