    hey guys --

    i just bought my sony vgn-fz345d two months ago from best buy and it's already screwing up. when i turned it on the logon screen and everything was fine but after i logged in all it showed me was a "my documents" window, which after i minimized led to a blank screen - no desktop, no start menu.

    i found a way onto the internet and all my programs/files seem to work fine - i just don't have a start bar or a desktop. is this a virus? what should i do?

    thanks in advance, i'm sorry if this is inappropriate. i just thought maybe some of you had had the same problem before.

    do control+ atl+delete then, under task manager, go to file-> newtask(run) -> and type "explorer.exe"

    no problem. you shouldn't have to do it again( well maybe once very few months) but don't hesitate to post again if it happens every time.
