Can anyone help me! For ages I have been looking at and settled on the FZ38M as an entertainment laptop. I can take it away with me, watch blu-rays on flights and use the wifi while I am away too. The usual price for this was £799. However Sony have recently released the FW11S with a blu ray writer and through work I can get this for £927! To top it off my local Comet has discounted the FZ38M (ex display model) to £605!!

What do I do! I want a new laptop for this weekend!

    Help!

    Thanks

The resolution of FZ is not very suited for watching Bluray with 1280*800. (unless you don't mind 720p)

FW has 1600*900 which comes a lot closer to 1080p.

Are you okay with the extra size and weight? If so, go FW.

I think I am ordering the FW11S... Just worried about the FZ38M which looks like its being discontinue. Would rather get a new model, with a good widescreen suitable for blu ray (for traveling) and the blu ray writer. I prob wont use the writer yet but I plan to in the future as I have a PS3..
