What was the starting price of FZ4000 CTO when they offered significant discount about 6 weeks ago?

If I remember correctly, about $150-$200 more than it is now. However, I know that my configuration (purchased on April 17) is about $100 less now than then, BUT the service package I bought is more (2yr on-site w/Accidental Damage coverage). So the delta is only about $20 less than what I paid a month ago.

Can't remember the base price, either. Just did a quick config, though, and my order placed on 4/15 is $260 cheaper than now.

    Config:
T8100/7K200GB/3GB RAM/XBrite HiColor/Quicken Deluxe, everything else is default

I think there was $100 off each on RAM and HDD and then Quicken Deluxe was a free upgrade at that time.

Funny - My FZ shipped on 4/18 and on 4/19 the prices dropped. I could have saved $225 - IF I had reordered on the 19th. On the 4/20 they made adjustments to the HDD pricing and the difference was only $120. I guess it was one of those online SNAFU's that happen occasionally. I decided that it was not worth the effort to return it for $100 (after paying for shipping it back).

But that great price was only available for that one day - April 19.

Wow, $225 saving, huh? Didn't notice that. That would be pretty sweet since my order hadn't shipped at that time. On the other hand, they corrected the wrong employee discount in the system before that and it's a Saturday so there was no free-shipping, so it would knock my saving down to about $70 or so (if that, not sure how much saving for the components I chose).

But yeah, there was definitely some snafu in the system.

they have some kind of a price guarantee and you can ask for a refund and may get an approval.

unfortunately, not for CTO products. I called twice and both times they suggested that I return the one that was intransit and re-order if I wanted the better price. Nice, huh?
