This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    FZ4000 and external monitor question

    I just hooked up my Dell 20 inch 1680x1050 - 2005fpw monitor to my FZ4000 thru the hdmi port. Used an hdmi to dvi cable which works great. The monitor and computer have no problem with this resolution which is native to the 20 in Dell. The question: When I toggle thru fn f7 to alternate display and go back to the Dell 2005fpw, the resolution reverts back to the laptop native resolution. Not a huge problem, but I'm wondering if there's a setting I missed to make it stay. Video card is the 8400 gt. Thanks
