After installing Office 2007 suit, my SZ791 started giving me the above error message box during Vista shutting down. The error message box stalls the shutdown process for 4 - 6 seconds before Vista kills it and then it continues the shutting down process.

I have tried uninstalling Office 2007 and the error disappears. So it seems it's related to Office. I have Vista SP1 and Office 2007 SP1 installed. Been googoling around but couldn't found anything helpful to get rid of it.

Anyone else experiencing the same issue and have a solution for it ?

misery loves company... don't have any fix, but the same problem...

brand new TZ290... with Office 2007 service pack1 on Vista Business service pack 1. I have exactly the same issue. Any else? Any fixes? No, google's not too helpful, is it? Now that I see such a similar error, I'm wondering if it is a Sony driver issue.

No, it didn't. I'm not sure if Alhinai added or removed the Office 2007 patches. I didn't. Just thought of it now. It might've been a nice move to try it before installing them. Cause maybe it's a 2007 patch. I'll bet not everyone installs those Office 2007 patches, so I wonder if anyone is having this issue who hasn't installed the patches?
Or is there anyone that does not have this issue that has Office 2007 installed on a Vaio TZ or SZ with Vista SP1?

I should add that I'm using Office 2007 Enterprise. That guy from the other forum is using that too. I wonder if Alhinai is using that. I did not have this problem with Office 2007 Small Business, but Enterprise is what our company is licensed for. I don't have a license for Small Business.

Well, this is going nowhere fast... I'm guessing it's not a far-reaching issue...
