Hi,
I have a 1 year old Sony (VPCEA). Last year I lived in student accommodation near a construction site and had the window open because the building was very hot.
The laptop seems to have sucked in quite a lot of dust and is no longer anywhere near as quiet it was when new.
Aside from using compressed air is there an easy way to open the laptop up and clean out the fan?![]()
Any good guides / videos would be appreciated

I'd also be interested in any tips on how to clean out the fan. I have a six-month old Vaio VPCSA whose fan has gradually gotten louder over the past few months. When I first got it, the fan was inaudible at low speeds, but now it makes a low whirring sound which is slightly annoying.
Update: Here's a link with general information about what to do.

Does anyone have any ideas? My currently idle temperature is 67C

Thanks, that looks like it should do the trick. Will give it a go!
