    Fan problem with vaio fj help needed!!!!

    I have a vaio fj3s/w series and whenever i turn the power plan on vista to high performance, the fan whizzes around and the laptop gets hot. :mad: Any suggestions are very appriciated. ;)

    Since Vista has heavy graphics for the "cool" effects, so the GPU and CPU get hotter and when you set the power plan to high performance they get real hot.So the fan kicks in.
    How long have you had the laptop.If it's more than 3 month there might be dust blocking the airway.
    Also look for a newer BIOS for you machine.

    you could use speed fan to increase or decrease the speed of your fan as desired but i am not sure if vista suports the software if you would like to cool your laptop down try undervolting using a software like NHC but please be real careful while undervolting or else you may end up frying your system and rendering it worthless to nothing but an exensive showpeice
