    Hi guys I have this Fe series sony laptop and I just want to know the causes for a laptop to freeze up.

    We're gonna need more info than that! Anything can cause a freeze, honestly.

    Bad clock battery, bad hard drive, bad memory, bad graphics, bad CPU, bad drivers, bad OS install, bad software, bad user.... The list is endless.

    it froze when i put an audio cd in and itunes tried to find the name of the track. It just froze there

    I-Tunes has many problems...i suggest using Windows Media Player

    I haven't experienced any problems with iTunes. I'd suggest updating your drivers, using the latest version of iTunes, or it might be Sony's fault.

    Try updating to the latest bios? Usually it's lag that freezes iTunes, but it shouldn't happen with core duos unless something is unstable.
