Hi gang,
My friend is buying a laptop, she wants to buy at Best Buy/Future Shop type store here in Canada. Given her needs I spec'd the Sony Vaio FW160DH as the best to meet them. But I do not know anything about Sony laptops and reviews are slim pickins on this model on the net.
Can you guys give me some feedback on this model. Anything I should lookout for? What's the warranty/service like in Canada for Sony? Any common bugs or failures you know of with this model?

Thanks for your help!

I've got the FW160D (looks like the same model?). The computer itself is VERY nice. Great keyboard, very very fast computer, but the screen is awful. I've never had an LCD screen before so I don't really have anything to compare it to, but there's tons of light leakage, and if i move so much as an inch, the picture fades dramatically. Maybe I've just got a duff screen though.

Wait a week and see if BB has the FW2XX series or good discount for the FW1XX series due to the FW2XX coming out. The only thing that I have noticed is that there is some flex on the right hand palm rest where the hard drive is located (just push on it, you will see).
Feedback Please! Might buy Vaio FW160DH
