I'm ready to throw this laptop out the window. I bought it for heavy multi-tasking and it is just awful. They are coming to replace the the fan tomorrow, and maybe that is the cause.

For one thing, as the fan whirrrrrs, it starts hanging in Word or wherever I'm typing. At other times, programs freeze, too often. PhotoShop, Word, Outlook, Acrobat, etc.

It's only about six months old and has as many problems as my old Pentium IV desktop.

Plus, the dvd drive won't write to DVD-R discs. And it will only take the small plug for firewire.

It's an albatross and I see that don't even have this model on their website any longer.

It's a beautiful machine, but looks aren't everything. Great screen and keyboard. I'm ready to sell it, but I don't know what else to buy. And don't really want to give anyone else this headache.

Has anyone else experienced these problems? Maybe there is a solution and I just don't know it. Sorry to be so intense, but I'm really frustrated with this.

    Thanks for your feedback.
