    Still it seems a bit high when you consider the options: see below direct from Sony's config page.

    2274.97 --- 300+ for the 3 Year warranty.

    Is this worth the $$$$?

    I did get a chance to give it a test run in good old Comp USA. The laptop pumps out some heated air along the right side, but the palm rest felt ok. The case felt as if it were plastic not alloy. However it was near silent and had beautiful screen.

    I'm considering the same purchase. Comp USA has S580s in stock? Or is there another model like the S560 that's close enough to use as a guide?
