After upgrading from FireFox 2.02 to 2.03, my SZ fingerprint no longer works. I tried to download and update from http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=101461&highlight=Fingerprint and from official Sony Windows Vista Protector Suite Software. They both worked fine with FireFox 2.02 but as soon as I upgraded to 2.03, they don't work anymore. They still work with IE 7 though.

I tried removing and reinstalling FireFox and Protector Suite. My notebook is SZ 381 PX with Win XP Pro SP2 (all patches installed).

Where can I get more updated software that will work with FireFox 2.03?

I have to check when I get home but I remember updating FF to 2.03 and shortly after it installed I got that familiar pop-up saying that it needed to install a module to support FF 2.03 with password bank.

It completed successfully and it seems to be working. I'll check when I get home and report back.

I found that it worked again after I brought up the Control Center and rechecked FireFox:

    1. Right-mouse on the Protector Suite QL taskbar icon and select Start Control Center...
    2. Choose Settings (Configure the fingerprint software)... User Settings.
    3. Select the Password Bank tab.
    4. Select Firefox under Web Browser Support (it may already be checked).
    5. Press OK.

I thought that redoing the above fixed the problem for me. It may work for you too... Good luck.

Hey, my firefox automatically updated to 2.0.0.4 and now the protector suite doesn't work with any websites.

    Anyone else having this problem?

    Thanks

My earlier answer worked for me:

    5. Press OK.
