    I just clean installed my SR with Vista Ultimate (32bit) and I pretty much got everything to work, but I just can't get the fingerprint reader to work, since I can't find the UPEK protector suite ql anywhere?? what should i do??

    I found the UPEK fingerprint sensor driver for your model at esupport.sony.com, but I don't think it actually includes the entire UPEK Protector Suite.. maybe?

    Otherwise, I think there might be a way to extract the suite from your Vista recovery disks, so hopefully you made the disks before doing a clean install.

    I think you're looking for "Protector Suite QL", that's what comes installed on the Z which also uses the UPEK fingerprint sensor.

    yeah the one on the sony web site is just the driver, not the program..

    yeah my bad, i meant QL, not SL
    but yeah i found a solution to this and the problem is fixed!
    the new version looks so much better
