    Hi all,

Just a minor annoyance, but anyone else experiencing a fingerprint reader driver which is slow to load. My computer gets to the Vista login screen relatively fast and displays the prompt to logon with the fingerprint reader. However, I have to wait another 10 secs or so for the driver to actually load before it will see my swipe at all.

Also when logging back in from the screensaver, the fingerprint prompt will appear, then after a few secs say something like "please connect Fingerprnt reader," then after a few secs more the original prompt will display and it will take my print.

So basically seems like the driver takes a while to load both on initial and subsequent logins.

Any way to speed things up? Maybe place the sony fingerprint driver so it loads before anything else, etc?

    would appreciate some help, thanks!!!

I think on my SZ it didn't immediatel recognize my fingerprint - after maybe 2 seconds, reswipe and it worked.

In your case it may be an idea to have the bootfiles rearranged.

One way should be to leave the computer to idle (may not work) or there is a command sequence for that. This may solve your problem.
