I have a Sony VGN-BZ560P22. I just put windows 7 Ultimate on it. As far as I can tell everything works on it properly. I keep getting a message in the action center telling me I need to ( Download and install the driver for Sony Firmware Extension Parser). I attempted this and still get the message in action center and my fingerprint scanner became non functional. I did a system restore and redid my fingerprint enrollment. So the fingerprint scanner now works again. Is there a way to check if this is an actual problem or a way to load the driver so it takes and I do not get the message in action center.

what is that driver for anyways?

I believe the driver allows the other Sony drivers to integrate into the new operating system. I bought the computer new as an XP downgrade. It has a Vista sticker on it. It has more function now with the windows 7 on it than it did with the XP Pro. I looked at the driver in device manager and when I attempt to update it it states that it is up to date. The action center still claims I should go to the Sony site and download and install it.
