As the thread title states, certain websites that use Flash player *consistently* cause my browser to crash on my Sony Vaio VGN-Z27GN. This happens whether I use Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome. I know the problem is specific to my laptop because those sites load just fine on my FW.

I've downloaded the latest Flash Player, tried uninstalling/installing, tried running the browser without any add-ons except Flash, etc. but can't figure out what's wrong. Anyone out there in my boat? Is there a way to downgrade from Flash Player 10 to Flash Player 9?

    Many thanks for your help.

Thanks Ayle. Uninstalled 10 and installed 9, but unfortunately, the same problems remain. :(

No one else having this problem?? Flash kept crashing on me from Day 1 with the factory installation, which makes me think that there must be others out there with me.

As an FYI, I purchased my laptop in Singapore. The official product name is VGN-Z27GP.

    That's not really possible...

Anybody else? I've tried cleaning out my registry, but nada, still keeps crashing.

I use to have the same problem on my SZ. I downloaded a third party video card driver from laptop2go and everytime I watch any kinds of flash video my browser will freeze. I just want back to the OEM drivers.

Maybe try reinstalling the official Sony Z graphics driver.

Clean out all 3rd party browser extensions.
    And run an anti-virus checker.

    SOLVED.

Stupid Sony. Actually, I don't know if it's their fault, but the Bluetooth software that came with the laptop had a bug that caused Flash to crash. I downloaded an update from the Sony website and it solved the problem.

    On second thought...stupid Sony! :p
