Firstly I'd like to apologize as this has probably been posted before but I still cannot find a solution. I have a sony vaio vgn-nr38e with Windows vista home premium 64 bit. My fn mute works but fn volume/brightness don't. I've downloaded every driver possible but cannot find a solution. Can anyone help please?? P.S. I'm an on the couch laptop user and not a technician so go easy on me :)

You need to install the Sony software in the following order.
    1. Sony shared library.
    2. Sony Notebook utilities.

    Drivers needed:
    1. SFEP driver.
    2. GPU driver.

Update, I now have volume control using Fn F3 & F4 but no volume graphic on screen and still no luck with the brightness.
