I recently restored Windows XP on my VGNFS415E, and the Fn keys were working fine. I have updated Windows to SP3 and just recently I noticed the Fn and S1/S2 keys don't work - even though hkcmd.exe process is running.

Any tips on getting them working again?

    Thanks.

End the task, Than go to new task and add hkcmd.exe see if that helps

I tried that, it didnt work.
But performing VAIO Update seemed to. I'll see if they continue to work.

    Thanks.

Edit - Nope theyve stopped working again.

Well thats weird - i figured out the problem. Somehow the program "ViStart" which mimics Vistas start menu for XP was clashing with Fn key program, the instant I stopped ViStarts process I got my Fn keys back :S weird...
