    Hey,

    I have SR290 CTO.
    I've clean install Vista Home 32bit
    i've installed Shared lib, and Notebook utilities, but i still dont have Fn buttons except the Volume ones.

    What did i miss ?
    also i get some error about the battery, but i've disabled the SMI (startup).

    Did you instal drivers & libraries in the right order?
    I believe SOny requires the installation to be doen in a specific order.

    What does it say on the Sony Website?
    I believe they tell you in which order to instal drivers.

    i couldnt make it work, and the brightness killed the battery.
    I reformatted, and installed Shared library first again, then the Sony util
    now its working :)

    How ever the HDD protection dont recognized movement (VAIO control center)

    Ok, its a step in the right direction.

    But: Did you check the Sony Website on instructions how to instal libraries & drivers?
