I have an S270, which is similar to the S150. Both are not officially supported by Sony for Vista. However, I've read that both those models are similar to the S360, which is officially supported by Sony for Vista.

I managed to install the XP version of the ADI SoundMAX audio drivers in Vista using the method outlined here.

I also installed the ATI video drivers (Catalyst 8.1) using the ModTool as done here.

Unfortunately, my Fn buttons still don't work after following Surefire's methods here and here.

Basically, I'm using Windows Update versions of the Sony Notebook Control and Sony Programmable I/O drivers. Then I've installed:
    1. Sony Utility DLL 7.0.00.11210
    2. Sony Shared Library 3.0.00.10180
    3. VAIO Event Service 3.0.00.13110
I've tried swapping the installation order of the Utility DLL and Shared Library but to no avail. I've also installed the Setting Utility 2.0.00.11270 in there. I've also verified that the VAIO Event Service is running. I've also tried not using the ATI Catalyst driver.

Have any of you gotten the Fn buttons on your S270 (or S150 or S360) to work in Vista? Do any of you have any more ideas or leads for me to follow?

I feel like I'm so close yet so far away. :)

    Thanks.

Welp, still no progress on this front. However, if there are any poor souls out there who would like to install Vista on their S270 notebooks, I've put together an article with my complete installation procedure.
