    Since i upgraded from xp to vista on a vaio fj3/s the fn + f keys dont work, someone please send in a driver for this problem, all help appreciated ;). Thanks.

    Hey buddy, I think you can help me.

    I have a VGN-C240E, but I have formatted it and installed XP PRO.

    Sony supports only vista's drivers, but I could find other drivers and everything is working very well, except a few FN keys - Only brightness control is missing. volume and mute are ok.

    So, this list of drivers will work for me too??

    but i have installed win xp pro
    is there any driver for win xp available out there . if so plz help me out
    especially " Sony Notebook Control "

    i had this problem as well, on my sz440. i found that installing sony utils dll, sony shared library, battery checker, setting utility series, vaio event service in that order does the trick.

    i tried it without installing sony shared library and the volume hotkeys worked but the brightness and magnifier etc didn't work, so i uninstalled all of them and reinstalled the necessary components in that order.

    sony has put their xp drivers for the sz series on their ftp temporarily, calling it 'drivers for downgrade'. i foun d the link in another thread somewhere. this is a new development - they just put them up a week ago. maybe they'll have drivers for other models as well?
