OK, what happened to me maybe extremely rare. However, it got be a good laugh afterwards. ;)

first, lets take a look at a thread that I posted one year ago.

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/sony/656622-zagg-leather-z2-palm-rest.html

see how nice and pretty it was :p well, it still was till yesterday afternoon.

the story begins a while back the LCD screen start having a small black spot, so I decided to call Sony support and scheduled an in-house service to replace the LCD screen. without too much of trouble, I got it done.

Yesterday afternoon, the technician who name start with H showed up with the LCD screen. to my surprise, it was very easy and simple to replace the LCD screen without unscrew anything at all. However, after H replaced LCD screen, the back-light of LCD wont turn on, and thats when everything go downhill .

H put back the old LCD and back-light still didn't work. then he start taking out all his tool to open up the laptop. I asked him whats wrong, he said the LCD cable might be the problem. So I sat next to him quietly for an hour while he is tearing apart the laptop, literally.

Finally, he left the parts everywhere and ask me if I have a phone that he can call with. after he connect to a Sony agent over the phone, here is what he said " To be honest with you, I think I destroyed this laptop, you guys need to send a new one." seriously!? then he said " I can not even put the laptop back together" WOW! while he was waiting on the phone, he then forced to push all the parts back together. I was surprised that I was still sat there quietly till he finish the long call. he then turn to me and said the laptop can not be fixed and will need to send it to the service center and they will take a look...my mind went blank and got nothing to say. I made him wrote that he is responsibly for all the damage cause to the laptop and let him go. when he was leaving, he said he will never work on a Sony laptop again. LOL.

thats basically the story. everyone was shacked and laughed when i told them the story. and I got share this with the world. Never seen such technician existed in this world...believe me, this guy looks experience when he first walked in the door.

so without further ado, here are some pictures of the laptop that H destroyed.

I can take apart Sony laptops apart and put them together. Mostly. Gotta admit I broke the keyboard cable once myself, but I can reassemble from scratch.

Though, to the credit of H, it is a pain.

W T F? That is hilarious yet disturbing. I assume he's some random third-party tech from your area that Sony subcontracted?

to answer some of you guys question,
    1. I am sure H is not a sony technician. mostlikely he is Sony subcontracted. its just so funny when he told me he will get into big trouble for this. lol, really?
    2. the reason I want to get the LCD fixes is that the warranty is about to expire and I am thinking about selling it after Sony fix it. its been a great laptop, but I just like to update my laptop once a while. I guess I am not selling it anymore if Sony do give me a newer one...
    3. while I was sitting there, i was just so curious that how he would put everything back together after he took everything apart till he said the word "destroyed", at that time, it was too late to say anything. mad at him is getting me nowhere. I did call Sony again afterwards and made complain about this guy. hopefully it gets me somewhere.

honestly, Z2 is a very well designed laptop. even till today, its the only laptop that i can found thats combine the lightest weight with good GPU gaming perfomance with the help of the GPU dock. no other laptop can do that.

here is a few more pic
