The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I'll admit that I have NOT looked at the specs on these drives but in general.....there will be a limited amount or read/write to these types of drives.

    I generally image dump my laptops 1X a month regardless....but I'm curious for those in the know, anyone how what the specs are on the SSD drives....I'm all for the SSD for a notebook for boot times, and power consumption..

    While flash does have a limited amount of read/write, Samsung has quoted the drive life at greater than 1 million hours.

    If you left it on for 24 hours a day you'd still get 114 years out of the drive.
