Just bought a FZ11Z (its so pretty!) and registered via the "Register your VIAO" link so I can claim the free Blu-Ray Disk, but my question is do I need to actually ask for the disk? Or do they just send it based on my details given for warranty?

Did you have to ask for it? Or was it sent automatically?

Nice to see you got your new laptop but you just got ripped off big time sorry. The new FZ21's are coming out mid-october and you'll be able to get the same spec of the FZ11Z for £899 in the FZ21M. Infact, I'd say the M's better as it has a 5400RPM hard disk compared to the Z's 4200RPM hard disk.

    Hindsight is always 20/20.

I'm happy with the price (which was nowhere near RRP) I paid for an amazing system.

Yeh, as long as your happy then tis ok. If you look beyond the price, the FZ11Z is a top machine.

When playing a Blu-Ray movie, you have to initially set the region of the software player. By default, no region is selected, so any disc that is region coded will not play unless you do this.

    1. On the Taskbar, click the Start button, point to All Programs, point to InterVideo WinDVD BD for VAIO, and then click InterVideo WinDVD BD for VAIO.
    2. In the InterVideo WinDVD BD for VAIO window, right-click in the middle of the screen and, from the menu, click to select Setup.
    3. In the Setup window, click the Region tab.
    4. On the Region tab, click to select the desired region code setting and then click the OK button.

The region code settings for the InterVideo WinDVD BD for VAIO software can only be changed five times. Whatever the region code setting of software is upon the fifth change will become the permanent setting. Once this occurs the region code setting cannot be changed again.

*Note that this setting is separate from the optical drive region setting in Device Manager.
