    Free PSP with FW (canada)

    hey, i dont want to get anyones hopes up, but i'm in a weird predicament, i got my FW last week, and just today sony sent me a free PSP GOW edition under the same order number :eek:

    i called sony about it but they dont know anything, the reps said "i think you should send it back.... does it have a return address?"

    i called sonystyle Canada and they checked the order number but there is no indication that there was ever a PSP in the invoice,
    i called sony style USA, and they said it might be from someone getting their psp sent to the wrong address but the PSP was addressed to me
    i even called the sony warehouse that the PSP was sent from and they said to call sony offices to get it figured out

    did anyone run into this situation or knows anyone that this has happened to?
    i dont really know the procedure to handle this.



    maybe its because i'm Canadian ;)

    Lol That's the first I have ever heard of that happening. Maby when you called to place your order you were so nice to the lady on the other side and she thought "what a nice young fellow, I'll send him a PSP" lol

    i dont really know, i ordered it online so that rules knightofwar theory out, but yeah, it has my name on the order, along with the order number.
    i check my credit cards and invoice and all the numbers add up, the psp came out of thin air.
    maybe some guy in the warehouse was having a ruff week and want to send sony in black *shrugs*

    You called 4 different departments and then was told to try calling another department? I would have stopped at the second call, and told the rep it was their problem to fix, not mine.

    yeah, i'll give it to my cousin for Christmas , i already have a psp-2000 black and i'm well off enough to pay for a 2000+ VAIO, i think someone else should get it

    i might try to trade it for a PSP-3000 if it comes out before Christmas if it comes out

    It's a Sony Style promotion, where you get the red GOW PSP bundle with any Vaio FW configured with Blu-ray.

    You can see it once logging into the member zone in the Back to School Promotions.

    lol yea it is pretty weird how none of them knew anything about this. Good old customer service reps eh? Good deal though in my opinion, convinced me as any bonus in Canada is a welcome surprise.
