First post and wanted to say thanks to all of you for all the information and helping me make the final, long thought-out decision...Just picked up my SZ 120 and it's great. I plan on stressing it in the coming weeks with some video editing, flash media and graphic design. I'll be sure to update you all in hopes that I can help out as well.

Anyway, one issue that I have and was wondering if I should return this unit for another...I have a frozen/dead pixel in the middle of my screen. Granted it cannot be seen in most applications, but some of my sites have black backgrounds and you can see it. It's only one, maybe 2 and wanted to see if anyone has a suggestion/similiar problem. I understand that most company QC allows for a percentage of dead pixels, but it's tough to cope with on a brand new system. As I said, I can't wait to get involved in the forum

What color is the stuck pixel? If it is black or white it most likely won't correct itself. If it is a different color it may fix itself.

May have a little color, but have to say white. I'll probably get use to it and really only notice it during boot up

Many companies will replace your screen depending on the number of stuck pixels, it highly varies among manufacturers. I think if the pixels are smack dab in the middle of the screen, then you have a better chance at getting them to replace it.

Spoke to Sony last night and said they would look at it for 10-14 days, but could not guarantee that it would be replaced. They gave me the typical, this is normal for this type of screen explanation which I expected, but still couldn’t convince them to send me out a screen so I could replace it myself (Gateway was cool with that with an older notebook). I may just go back to the place I purchased it and see if they will pull another one off the shelf, but doubt it.
