is that alright? I should note that I don't use my battery too much.. cuz it runs out...
The warm part is specifically on the left side and when the touch pad is....
note; I constantly use my w-lan...
    thanks for the info!

Use Speedfan to get actual temperatures. "Hot" is not a good descriptive word.

I dont think its normal for it to get "hot"

I have been given an Apple Powerbook G4 at work and that thing really gets hot. I have this gadget which gives information on the computer and on average the temperature is above 120 degrees F. A lot of the time though, its around 145-150 degrees F.

My FZ is much cooler and at most I've felt is lukewarm on top and bottom.

And make sure you run it as Administrator, not an Administrator, THE Administrator. I have admin rights on my machine and yet SpeedFan did not show all the info until I did a right click on Speedfan in the start menu, selected properties, switched to the Compatibility tab and clicked "Run this program as administrator". THEN it showed everything.

I just downloaded and am running Speedfan and my two cores are showing 23 and 25 degrees C. Thats 73.4 and 77 degrees F, respectively.

Applications I have open: Firefox (6 tabs), Windows Media Player, Trillian, and Skype.

I think thats really good for what applications I'm running right now. No fan, no sound at all. :)

Very good information as usual Gary. I dont know about other Windows OS's, but in Vista especially, even if you think you are the administrator, you are not "THE" administrator. I learned this while trying to change shadow storage size in the command prompt, even though I was on the only account which exists on my computer.
