Can anyone please tell me at what level your battery is when you have charged it to 100% and then boot in windows vista?
For me I am between 92% if I charge to 100% and immediately boot to windows and 85% if I boot next day!
This seems not normal to me!

I usually boot to about 96% when I start with a fully charged battery in my FZ190 CTO

Sony's regular battery is such a waste. It drains like hell. I have seen it charged and 100% available. It's is a compromise for style. (thin batteries are crap)

Can someone please explain to me the different types of shotdown?
I always turn my laptop off with shutdown!
What is exactly sleep ans should I use that instaid of shut down?
what about hibernate? is it better to use it for less battery usage
    at startup?

Also I have one very important question. I leave my desktop pc on for few days sometimes. Is it safe to do so with a laptop? Can I leave it on all night for example encoding an avi file to |divx| and go to sleep?

    Try this link:
Sleep vs Hiberbate vs Hybrid Sleep vs Standby

You can leave it on overnight but I would NOT close the lid, it traps too much heat.
