Is there somewhere in this thread that someone wrote up a step by step process of a clean W7 install, from start to finish?

I really want to install W7, but this just makes it seem so complicated..

I haven't tried it yet, but I think the ISO file that's created can also be used with Microsoft's USB installer tool. If someone gets to this before I do, let us know. :)

Yes, the created image works fine with Microsoft's USB installer, I've used it a couple times to make USB installers for my Acer Revo 3610.

The windows 7 install is pretty self explainatory, just follow the onscreen instructions not sure how much easier you want it as you can just click next to everything and it will pretty much install.

Eviltuna, if you are still around I have a question. I made the Sony ISO back in 12/09 and installed it on a Toshiba laptop and used the Sony key and everything is working 100% great. Thank You.
I now have a never used Dell W7 upgrade disc with key and want to install it on a HP computer.
Do you think if I used the same Sony made ISO and use it on the HP with the Dell key that I would get a genuine install?
I'm assuming the ISO made in this thread will work with any manufacturers OEM upgrade disc.

I don't think there is anywhere you can download a Sony DVD upgrade disc,
    highly unlikely.
Why don't you just use a W7 upgrade disk.
