Just received my SVF152190x. Specs: Windows 8, 12gb Ram, i5-3337u, Nvidia 740m 1gb ddr3, 750gb hybrid drive, 1080p display, backlight keyboard, 2 speakers+subwoofer. The first thing I did was to bring it up-to-date via Sony Vaio Care. Second was to insure all my settings were on high performance (yes I also changed the settings in Nvidia control center as well as vaio control center) Next I downloaded fraps, cpuid, and gpu-z. Then I fired up one of my favorite games metro 2033. Only 10fps while at the main menu!! Settings were 1600x900 resolution and quality on low. Yes the Nvidia gpu was active and no I was not running off of intel's gpu. I then thought I would check with nvidia to see if they had even newer drivers and they did. Downloaded the drivers which also came bundled with Nvidia Geforce Experience. Geforce experience determined my optimum settings for metro 2033 to be 1280x720 resolution and quality on low but also displayed a disclaimer stating "your system does not meet the minimum requirements for optimum settings". I launched the game anyway and was surprised to see 40fps at the main menu. I began playing the first level and as soon as I got to the first monster........system just locked up( i was getting 34fps at the time). On a good note the audio on this laptop sounds great! This is going back and the wait continues.
