I have been adviced by a member here to download the latest diver for my GPU from www.laptopvideo2go.com

Well I downloaded the latest compatible driver according to their list, GeForce 7400 Go = ForceWare v88.61

I modified the INF file and then manually updated the drivers via the Device Manager, restarted, but nothing........black screen as I get into windows. So i figured they were not compatible. I reverted back to my old SONY/nVDIA Drivers version nVIDIA ForceWare v7.15.10.10.9754.

    Anyone has an explanation?

Try a different driver? The newer drivers might not offer enhancements for your card, but can be more stable.

Well according to the site, it said that for a GeForce Go 7400 I need to install an 8xxxx series driver, which is what I did. I don't know what driver to try?

Strange though, as my current driver is from the 7.5 series
