    Generic Batteries for TZ

    Does anyone know where to get generic bats for the TZ, hopefully cheaper and works? thx

    I have been searching briefly for this.

    I could not find them on Google or ebay. If someone does I'd like to know too.

    I haven't seen any so far, may take a little while and it wouldn't be recommended. I think Sony has a tiny bloatware program that detects real/aftermarket batteries and so will shut down or do some erratic behavior if you put a generic battery.

    Maybe you could try those external batteries, but they are external of course.

    external batteries? I have never heard of those. how does it work?

    You plug your notebook into it as if you were plugging it into a power socket.

    i dont think, 3rd party is good, well, from my expierence with Sony Digital Camera, the non-branded one lasts soooo short. It of course worked well for couple of times.. but after a while of recharging, they perform worse than the geninune ones... (i.e., they loose power very fast)
