    Hi,

    Everyone, I'm from Australia and the FE series VAIO is due to be released here soon. I'm planning to get one however I don't know which model to get.
    They are releasing a Core Duo 1.86 and a Core Duo 1.66.
    I want to find out if there is a big difference in speed between this 2 processors. They both come with 512mb of ram. Do you know if it is one stick of 512mb or 2 x 256mb? If I want to upgrade to 1GB ram what sort of ram should I get? Cos Sony is charging some amazing prices for their ram.

    The premimum from a 1.66 to a 1.86 is $500 Australian dollars. Do you guys think it's worth it?

    Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hi urxtreeam, I'm from sydney I baught my FE from sony USA, I got the 1.83 core duo (its 1.83 not 1.86 btw) It cost me $1435 USD plus another 70$ for another gig of ram I got from newegg, I then had a friend post it over, Much cheaper than buying it in Aus.

    How much is that in US?
    My FE arrives today, I got:
    duo core 1.83, it was only like $70 US from 1.66
    1gb ram, free upgrade from 512
    60gb hard drive
    geforce 7400
    no camera/bluetooth
