    Getting a FW21L tomorrow morning, "Bloatware" advice please!

    Ok, I'm not certaing exactly what bloatware is included with this precise machine, but I know there is a lot.

    From Sony owners, hence the position of my thread, what bits are best to keep and will it really slow my laptop down that much?

    There are a few bits and pieces like all the trials practically, Microsoft Works will probably go, but apart from that there are a few intresting bits and bobs hidden away.

    VAIO Movie Story has got me particularly intrested, and that'll probably stay.

    Apart from that, any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated.

    The bloatware really does make a difference though. Before my clean install I was using 1.77 gigs of memory, after I am down to 1.03. I also have around 15-20 less processes running.

    Just experiment with the programs and see what you like, although in most instances I find there are other programs that suite my needs much better.

    Thanks, I think I'll just try everything out like you suggested.
    I'm sure there'll be some things that I want to keep and others that I'll delete without question.
