I was just wondering if anyone here has had their Vaio laptop replaced through sony warranty (either accidental or extended). If so, share your story please.

    Regards!

I have exchanged two VAIOs directly through Sony b/c of finicky design flaws in both models (FJ270/b and a SZ340). In both cases, Sony didn't charge me anything ---- with the FJ exchange, they fully refunded my money towards the purchase of the SZ340 (pretty nice, considering I bought the FJ through Circuit City and owned it for over a month). With the SZ exchange, Sony took my 340 in exchange for a 360 -- at no cost.. an upgrade which had a signficant money value that Sony absorbed.

That's not to say that this is regular Sony practice --- but I have had successes, and now have a perfect little lappy.

I'm just curious. What's wrong with your notebook? Why do you need it replaced?
