first time posting and searched/lurked for any info on this but couldn't find anything

when ordering a CTO SA3 it gives you an option to upgrade to SSD. At the larger SSD configurations it shows it as 2X SSD

-i'm wondering what kind of SSD they'll use?

-if i got a HDD would i be able to fit 2 SSD in that slot?

    Thanks for your help

They use a special type of SSD and a unique cable to connect. It is a bare two layer circuit board that does not resemble a standard SSD. If you want to replace the SSD, it is difficult. If you get the hard drive then you have options. Any standard 2.5" SSD or hard drive will be compatible. Although the slot will fit only one. If you want two SSDs then there is a 'caddy' you can buy and replace the optical drive with a hard drive or second SSD.

Aren't you being a little hard on a Newbie, on Thanksgiving yet? :D (Also, would you mind weighing in on my Z1//z2 thread? Thanks.)

Znus: good luck with your SA3 and thanks for turning us on to NCIX!

Is it difficult to replace the hard drive with a standard 2.5" SSD on this laptop? That's what I would like to do but if it is too difficult I will just fork it over for the upgrade.
