I have a Sony FW and just pulled the 10 stickers placed on it and one of them left a nasty sticky residue that is accumalating dirt. Is there anyway to remove this? Any tips? I've tried ethanol and it helped a little but all of it still wont come off.

I have used GOOF OFF and worked fine, all the glue came out.Put some of it in a clean rag and start removing the glue.It may need you to repeat the cleaning more than one time depending on the amount of glue left over.

Use "Scotch" tape & "stick & pull" at those parts with the sticky residue. Do this lots of times until the residue is gone. Use a new section/piece of "Scotch" tape after a few times of this action to ensure that the tape is "clean" enough to "stick out" the residue. Good luck. :)

Or, simply use sticky tape (sellotape) to clean off the residue.

What the two guys above said. I've also pulled off all ten gazillion stickers off the machines I buy, usually when I'm debloating the machine. High-tack, quality packing tape can in many cases lift off virtually all the residue in one swoop.

IMO, 'Fresh Start' should also come with all the stickers on a backing paper - if you really, really want to, you can stick it on.
