I'm kind of torn, I have an SZ160 for almost 2 years now which has been great, absolutely no problems. I can get a loaded Dell XPS M1330 at a great price, here is the thing, the extended battery on my SZ160 barely holds a charge of more than an hour now and a new battery is over $300, it's even out of stock at sony.com. Also the warranty on my SZ is about to run out. I'm curious if anyone here has been able to use both an SZ and Dell XPS M1330 and it the Dell is as nice or even close to as nice as the SZ in real life, not just in photos. The Dell would be quite a bit faster than my SZ, 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB ram and 100 GB 5400rpm HD vs 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo, 3GB ram and 160GB 7200 rpm HD.

The XPS M1330 was very cool had there not been so many QC issues. The first one I got had several issues. You can read about them on the boards. My replacement was even worse. I really wanted to keep it, but switched to the Vaio TZ and I LOVE it. I dont have any comparison to the SZ. Dell wanted to send a technician to replace the keyboard and metal palm rest, but I had to insist on a replacement. The same was true for the replacement. I got the M1330 around November and thought the kinks would be worked out. Other reviewers had no issues at all. The M1330 led lit screen was excellent but I dont know if it was worth the extra cost. All in all, I sent it back because of all the issues.

I have a SZ3, but i'm thinking in selling it and buy a xps.
i think xps is better equipped and more silent, the fan of the Vaio is always on

The M1330 is plauged with problems! If you get a good one, then it will be just as nice as your SZ, but if you dont (more than likely) then you will obviously not be happy with it!
