I’ve been running Windows Vista since the beta version on my SZ160 which originally came with XP, eventually installing Vista Business when it was released. I had to hang around the house this morning and since I had nothing better to do I decided to reinstall XP in dual boot configuration with Vista. It’s been a long time since I’ve used XP and I was shocked at the difference between XP and Vista. First XP seems SO MUCH faster than Vista, it actually feels like I dropped in a faster processor and doubled the ram, that’s the kind of difference I’m speaking about. Programs and web pages fly open in XP where in Vista it doesn’t seem nearly as fast. The most shocking thing is the increase in battery life! My battery is two years old and in Vista it lasts maybe 2 hours and that’s when I use the Windows Classic theme to save resources. In XP I’ve been on an hour already and it still says I have 2 hours and 50 minutes left (how is that?)!
I’m seriously considering uninstalling Vista to gain back HD space.

If you're not happy with Vista, find XP to outperform Vista, and have XP as a legal option, you probably should use it exclusively.
