I just bought a S560 from Amazon and I bought a 1GB stick to upgrade the memory. I thought I would have to throw out one of the 256mb modules but it turns out mine came with 1 512mb module! Now I have 1.5GB RAM and I am happy as a clam. :)

With your two RAM stick being different sizes I'm not sure if your memory is operating in dual channel mode. You might get better memory performance if you replace that 512MB stick with a 1GB module.

I got this notebook because it was the lightest and smallest notebook I could find with dedicated graphics. I would like a future-proofed notebook but didn't want to wait for Yonah and GMA945.

I love it. It's small and the screen is great. The TX was too small for me after trying it out. Let me know if you have specific questions.

I'm in the market for this one too. I (like many others in this forum) have seesawed between this one and the Asus W3V. Just when I think I've decided, I read something else that sways me the other way. This one swayed me a little bit toward the Sony.
In the end, I think I'm ordering the s560p/b because i've had the opportunity to get my hands on one in the store. No such luck with the W3V.
    pshady...congrats on your new laptop!
Just a couple of questions to set my decision is stone
    1) How do you find the battery life in real world conditions?
    2) The screen is amazing! How many degrees of play do you have in the vertical viewing angle?

    SnopeG,
I don't think you'll be disappointed with the S560. The amazon rebates make it all the sweeter.
    To answer your questions:
    1) Battery life is average. When I have it unplugged, I set it to Ultimate Battery profile (turns off DVD drive, etc) and I can probably get 3 hours or so (based time remaining after 2 hours of usage). If you are worried about battery life, get the larger battery.
    2) The screen is wide angle viewable. Not quite as good vertical angle wise but better than any other laptop I've seen in the market. When I put it next to my dell, the dell looks like crap.

Thanks for the info. I do plan on getting the larger battery (sooner or later).
