I just received my new Z-690 and I was very pleased to discover that you can use the built in wireless card and accress the internet for 24 hours for only $9.99 with unlimited data. I had read it was $15 and was pleased it is only $10. This is a better option than paying for internet in many hotels.

Is this on the US model? Thought it was locked to Sprint?

Looks like the Z690 is now VERZION instead SPRINT.

In my opinion Verizon offers better service.

Correct. As of January 1st, any future notebooks from Sony that have WWAN built in will be with Verizon. Sprint is done.

Meh, the prices aren't different so it doesn't make a difference to me. I'd rather have the yearly allowance for a small fee that they have in the UK rather than paying monthly or an overpriced day-pass.
