    At $849.99 with 2 GB of standard memory, the CR is looking very attractive. Do you guys think that now is a good time to bite the bullet on a CR due to the fact that it will be phased out soon?

    Mid August when the new Z starts shipping they may discountinue this and put it on "Clearance" section - so just wait a bit :D

    sorry to disappoint you but its unlikely that CR would be phased out... Its only option available in 14.1" screen size which is extremely attractive. also its only 1 yr old model and typically its too early to phase out a model.
    it migh get new processors upgrade soon. Since its inclined towards more economical notebook market its going to stay in my opinion...

    is it going to have better graphic card in the refreshed model ? i just don't like the integrated gpu in the current model
