Just got my Vaio FS 285E (the latest bottom version, Celeron-M and Integrated graphics).

Nice machine, amazing screen, not as bright as I thought it would be.
Can't imagine going back to normal screens now.

    Will answer questions if needed.
    Thanks

I was curious about the sound quality on the FS series... I've been looking at them at Best Buy and I noticed that you have to max out the volume to even begin to hear anything (and at this setting it's still just a whisper). Are the speakers really that weak?
    Thanks!

It is going back because of a hardware issue causing it to freeze every day.
Nice laptop, I really liked it though. If it wasn't for the issue I would have definetely kept it. Great value as well, how many good laptop are there for £650 in the UK?

Nice build quality and the screen is amazing.

Now, I might try some eBay Thinkpad T-series.

It was a Celeron-M and with the Bluetooth Card in and screen at max brightness I would say about 1.5 hours. Although can't say I checked that in detail since I had it as a desktop replacement.
